DELPHOS — The Lady Cats fell in three sets to Bluffton on Tuesday night, 25-9, 25-15 and 25-16. Lady Pirates junior standout Kylie Stackhouse was a force on the net and caused problems for Jefferson all night long.

Bluffton took an early lead in the opening set and enjoyed a 4-0 advantage. The Lady Cats bounced back to tie it up at 5-5 but an 11-0 run by the Pirates put them on their heels. The back line struggled throughout the game as the first set got away from Jefferson, 25-9.

Bluffton opened the third set on a 5-0 run but the Lady Cats fought back and tied it up at 9-9 on an ace by Josie McGue. The set remained tied at 13-13 before the Pirates closed things out on a 12-3 run. Taylor Schwab ended the game with back-to-back kills and gave Bluffton their seventh win of the season.
