LIMA — The Lady Jays fell 7-1 on Tuesday when they traveled to Lima to take on LCC. St. John’s put the first point on the board on a kick from Kylie O’Connor but gave up seven unanswered points in their loss.

O’Conner’s kick came just 8:41 into the first half and put the Jays up 1-0. The Thunderbirds responded with a goal at the 15:46 mark to tie the game at one a piece.

LCC took the lead four-minutes later with a goal from Annika Wilker. She hit two more in before halftime and gave the T-Birds a 3-1 advantage. Wilker ended the day with a hat trick and was key to LCC’s victory.

It took just 2:26 for the T-Birds to score in the second half. Sophia Santaguida blasted one in from 10-yards out to make it 4-1, LCC.

Sophia Luchini and Madalena Knotts both scored within 10-minutes of each other to bring the score to 6-1. Peyton Craig put one in with 3:49 to go in the game to make it 7-1 as the Thunderbirds held on for the win.

The Lady Jays fall to 1-6 (0-2 WOSL) while LCC improves to 4-3 (1-2 WOSL). St. John’s will host Elida on Saturday.
