DELPHOS — The Lady Cats are coming off of an 18-9 season in 2018 and look to continue the winning trend this year. They are coached by Ryan Strickler, who is in his third season at the helm.

Jefferson was co-champs of the NWC a season ago after upsetting Bluffton in the tournament and have a ton of experience returning.

The team will be led by senior Sydnie McGue who is a two-time NWC runner up. Five juniors will represent the Lady Cats this year. They include, Anna Fitch, Riley Smith, Kaylee Buzard, Alivia Carpenter and Emma Mueller.

“The team will be competitive again this year,” said Strikler. ” We have set our goals to win the NWC again and advance out of a tough sectional tournament in Celina. With hard work, the team can definitely achieve these goals and we are expecting a great season.”

Jefferson will welcome two freshmen to the mix in Chloe Kroeger and Rachel Ryan.

“Our team will be one of the top academic squads in the state, something we take great pride in,” Strickler added.

The Lady Cats began their season at the DCC Classic where they finished first.
