COLUMBUS — The Buckeyes basketball team remains undefeated after surviving a scare to Kent State on Monday night. Ohio State led 35-32 at the half but the Golden Flash tied the game at 48-48 in the second half. Kaleb Wesson scored 17 as the Buckeyes held on for a 71-52 win.

Ohio State shot 43-percent from the field and 73.3-percent from the charity stripe for the game. Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington Jr. each shot 50-percent from behind the three-point line to help lead the Buckeyes to victory.

Danny Pippen was the lead scorer for Kent State with 19. He also had eight rebounds and was key to the second half rally. Ohio State went on a 23-4 run to end the game as they secured their sixth win of the season.

The Buckeyes are back in action on Friday when they host Morgan State.
