DELPHOS — The Blue Jays boys golf team fell to Kalida on Tuesday. Jack Gerker of St. John’s was the Medalist with a 37 and Wildcat golfers Ryan Klausing and Josh Recker finished the day with a 39.

KALIDA — Van Buren defeated the Wildcats in girls soccer Tuesday 2-0. Hannah Missler had both goals for the Black Knights as her team put eight shots on goal.

Bailey White had six saves for Kalida and had six shots on goal.

Kalida falls to 0-2 on the year and Van Buren improves to 1-1.


SPENCERVILLE — The Lady Bearcats defeated Cory-Rawson three sets to 1 on Tuesday night. Spencerville was led by Nelaya Burden with 20 kills, Katelyn Carpenter with 15 digs and Emma Hoback with 35 assists. The Bearcats lost the first set 25-10 but bounced back with a win in the second set, 28-26. Spencerville dropped set three 25-15 and almost rallied for a win in the fourth set but fell short 27-15.


LIMA — The Lady Cats stumbled out of the gate with a 3-1 loss to Bath on Monday in their season opener. Delaney Deuel and Courtney Teman each had eight kills to lead Jefferson on the net.

Ayron McClurg had a team-leading six aces and Jayla Rostorfer had seven kills with two blocks and four digs.

Delphos dropped the first two sets 25-18 and 26-24 before winning the third 25-21. Bath closed the game out in the fourth set by a score of 26-24.

Jefferson is back in action on Thursday when they host Shawnee.


DELPHOS — The Lady Jays sit at a perfect 2-0 in the MAC after defeating Fort Recovery on Monday. St. John’s was led by Cassidy Werts who shot a 46 and Paige Gaynier with a 49.

Cassidy Beining finished her day with a 59, Hannah Will had a 60 and Lydia Werts ended with a 61. Jillian Dickman rounded out the Lady Jays golfers with a 63.

SPENCERVILLE — Lima Senior defeated Spencerville 3-1 on Monday. The Bearcats were led by Emma Kaverman with four digs, Emma Hoback with 14 assists, Nelaya Burden with four kills and three blocks and Claire Hoback with 10 kills and a block. Serving leaders were Emma Kaverman, Whitney Mulholland, and Nelaya Burden.

Spencerville won the first set 25-23 but it was all Spartans after that. Lima Senior won the next three sets 25-17, 25-6 and 25-22
