COLDWATER — It was a big morning for the St. John’s Blue Jays at the Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday. The Lady Jays team posted a fourth-place team finish, led by standout senior Cady Donaldson’s top-three performance, while the boys squad also moved up in the standings from last season.

OTTOVILLE — Behind a four-goal performance from Kate Turnwald, the Ottoville Lady Green (6-9-2) held off a late push to defeat the Fort Jennings Lady Musketeers (4-12-1) 4–3 in a Putnam County League (PCL) rivalry match Thursday evening at Bob Kaple Track and Field Stadium.
The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes (5-0; 2-0 Big Ten), winners of nine consecutive games, take on the No. 17 Illinois Fighting Illini (5-1; 2-1) in a 12 p.m. EDT game (11 a.m. CDT) Saturday at Gies Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Ill.
